Chitnavis Trust

CMCA

CMCA works to shape young Indians into active, responsible citizens. Sir Gangadharrao Chitnavis Trust introduced the program in Nagpur in 2010 with three schools; today it reaches around 1,000 students in grades 7 and 8 across nine schools, supported by 26 volunteers.

Weekly sessions cover topics like health and hygiene, child rights, local governance, gender equality, change and development, and more. The sessions are interactive and activity-based, making civic learning engaging.

The program also runs campaigns such as:

  • Eco-friendly Ganesha idol making
  • Waste segregation sessions
  • Cleanliness drives
  • E-waste collection drives

The aim is to nurture civic-minded, environmentally conscious young citizens who contribute positively to their communities.
